GHOSTS OF VENICE on HED KANDI Ibiza 2013

Hey, summer is here and Hed Kandi Ibiza 2013 has arrived…

It includes also, as well as other funny people like Duke Dumont, Avicii & Nicky Romero, Calvin Harris, Lana Del Rey, Chris Malinchak, Axwell, MK, Jessie Ware, Basement Jaxx and Fatboy Slim, our Ghosts Of Venice ft. JOSH JAKQ summer anthem ‘My Love’

Having burst onto the House scene in late 2009 with remixes for the likes of Grum, James Talk and Ridney, Leeds UK based Ghosts Of Venice, aka Lee Dunn, has been working away on his own unique brand of filtered disco house. He has become known for his energetic DJ sets as well as his stripped down style of production.

His music has been widely supported by the likes of Alex Metric, Grum, Tommie Sunshine, Andy George & Jaymo, His Majesty Andre and even house legends like Patrick Alavi, Todd Edwards & Derrick Carter. Fast forward a year and his tracks have already been picked up by the likes of Hed Kandi, Dust Traxx and Strictly Rhythm, the label which will be home to his first big UK single ‘Without You’ featuring Errol Reid.

“Ghosts of Venice is the solo brainchild of Leeds producer Lee Dunn, and under the moniker he’s been nothing short of awesome, remixing and re-editing some unexpected tunes (Janet Jackson and Shakira to name a couple) into nu-disco bangers that rip right through any dance floor.” – Chicagoist

SUN!

TJH87 Deadlock

“Nothing less than a full-on electrogasm” Mixmag

Exclusive streaming première on Data Transmission

We’re proud to announce after their previous releases Break Away Kicks! and Woo Chicks & Disco Wobblez ep, Deadlock the new single from Finnish producers TJH87, out July 2nd 2013.

TJH87 are made up of Timo Juuti and Hector 87. The pair met over a shared love of raiding their local library for old disco records to play and cut up to inspire their early productions. The result of which is the making of their very own blend of disco house and pop savvy electro. These first few releases quickly found their way onto Hed Kandi and Ministry Of Sound compilations with BBC Radio 1 support from Fearne Cotton and DJ Chuckie. Making tunes specifically for packed out, sweaty dance floors their high energy disco house tracks also gained support from Armand Van Helden, Sister Bliss (Faithless), Robbie Rivera, Phonat and many more.

In November 2012, TJH87 released their latest EP, ‘Break Away Kicks!’ which was described as “Daft Punk on crack” by Crack Magazine and received rave reviews in both DJ Mag and Mixmag. On its release, ‘Break Away Kicks!’ shot to #1 on the Finnish iTunes dance chart while also entering Beatport’s top 100 Indie Dance / Nu Disco chart.

Their latest offering, ‘Deadlock’, is the perfect progression of their catchy sound, already supported by big mates like Steve Aoki, Joachim Garraud, Maor Levi, Taku Takahashi and Jerry Bouthier. Opening with 70’s styled organ chords and upfront vocals, the intro quickly builds to a tasteful yet energetic drop that sees people running from the bar to the speakers every time. First remix support comes from rising star Robotaki with his signature compressed, rhythmic basslines and French leaning filtering which has been gaining him hundreds of thousands of soundcloud plays. Electro mainstay, Rico Tubbs (Trouble & Bass / Cheap Thrills), turned out an 808 lead weapon that completely cuts up and twists the vocals out of all recognition with Roisto serving up a solid slice off electro funk to complete the expansive remix package.

In addition to their original work, Timo & Hector have undertaken remixes for dance music artists and bands from around the world such as the mighty Avicii, Satellite Stories, Bad Boy Bill (LE7ELS) and many more. With an eye firmly on the dance floor they’ve done plenty of bootleg remixes and edits of songs to fit their ever dynamic DJ sets and have gained tens of thousands of soundcloud plays. As well as masters of production the pair have a unique command of the dance floor when behind the decks and have supported everyone from Armand Van Helden, Luciano, DJ Chuckie, High Rankin, Treasure Fingers and many more.

Ready to soundtrack your summer, ‘Deadlock’ is the perfect hands in the air festival ready anthem that’ll be loaded in every DJ’s crate.

USELESS WOODEN TOYS Everybody // Free Download

Summer presents here! coccobellooo!

After more than two years from their last album “Piatto Forte” released by EMI Music Italy, Useless Wooden Toys are coming back with a new dance single launched in partnership with their first label aka us…

After having collaborated with several Italian artits and musicians like Amari, S.W.I.M, Spiller, Uochi Toki, Ghemon, Entics, Dargen D’Amico or Sano Business, Useless Wooden Toys returns with their original disco soul made by a fun blend of italo disco, electro funk and house.

Their latest track, Everybody, is far a repetitive and catchy anthem. Useless Wooden Toys have always been fond of looping, but they also mix it up enough that the new song results engaging from beginning to end. Simply here, you get what you’d expect from a real disco sound.

“Everybody” is an enthralling progression of energic tension where the loop becomes more and more magnetic turning around the odd sample, that always represents the foundation of the Useless Wooden Toys ‘s music production.

“Dance is for everybody. I believe that the dance came from the people and that it should always be delivered back to the people”
Alvin Ailey, founder of The American Dance Theater

TJH87 Break Away Kicks!

We’re proud to announce the release of Break Away Kicks!, the new single from TJH87, after the super act Woo Chicks & Disco Wobblez ep

It presents five high energy tracks resembling electro pioneers such as Daft Punk and Justice.
On remix duty TJH87 recruited DIGIKID84 (Folistar/ Because – Fr), WAFA (Atlantic Jaxx / Grizzly – Uk) and STEREOCOOL (Champagne Records – Ita) to create three very different edits, one more laid back after hours track and others a more bass focused jittery affair.

Tracks are receiving early support by Luciano, BBC Radio, Treasure Fingers, Drop Out Orchestra, Human Life, Taku Takahashi, Ridney, LBCK, TobTok, Spiller, Rise & Fool and lots of others are coming…

The single is also climbing charts worldwide: #1 on iTunes Dance Chart (Finland) and Beatport Indie Dance / Nu Disco top100

TJH87 are a Finnish electronic music duo made up of Timo Juuti and Hector 87. The duo started working together after allegedly raiding their local library to sample old disco records for inspiration and to incorporate into their own productions. The result of which is the making of their very own blend of disco house and pop savvy electro.

Their music immediately caught the attention of the international music industry and club scene, resulting in their single ‘Cheap Bad Moves’ being selected by DJ Eibhlín to feature on the Hed Kandi / Ministry Of Sound compilation ‘World Series: MIAMI Vol.II’ and ‘I Know It’ being featured on ‘Disco Heaven’.

DJ Eibhlín selected the record for its distinct laidback and deep resonance, which later progressed into hands-in-the-air feel good house .Their single ‘I Know It’ was also featured on BBC Radio 1 by Fearne Cotton and Dutch DJ Chuckie.

The duo followed this up by releasing Woo Chicks & Disco Wobblez ep EP, released on La Valigetta. Made specifically for packed out, sweaty dance floors this high energy disco house record also featured three remixes from PHNTM, Ghosts Of Venice and J Paul Getto, which gained support by Armand Van Helden, DJ Chuckie, David Vendetta, Robbie Rivera, David Penn and many more.

LBCK Native ep

After the fresh Instant Party ep (2011 – La Valigetta – w rmxs by Strip Steve, Hijack and The Phantom’s Revenge) and the smash-single ft. Chuuwee Real Caviar (2012 – La Valigetta) the LONG BEACH CITY KIDS are coming back.

LBCK serves up two new joints ready for summer and all that comes with it.

The title track touches back on their high energy disco funk roots chopped up with a little new flavor to satisfy the late night craving of any club goer.
Rounding it off, Pow-wow initially sets a slower pace with it’s anti-sample approach but driven by its beautiful melodies and powerful peaks, the track is equipped to survive on the dancefloor or to be played simply with your eyes closed letting your mind slowly drift away.

The tracks are supported and spinned by Madeon, Zombies for Money, Drop Out orchestra, J Paul Getto just to name a few.
